Lookup Setup Overview

In DocView Capture, Lookup Setup defines how external or internal reference data is used to enhance or validate extracted document data.

Lookup Setup determines:

  • What lookup logic to apply (e.g., Fixed Lookup, Remote Lookup from databases or external systems)
  • How to match extracted values against predefined datasets or live data sources
  • Ensures consistent and accurate data by referencing standard codes, lists, or master data

Lookups are assigned to fields during Field Setup, allowing the system to automatically cross-reference captured values as part of document processing.

NOTE

Proper lookup setup improves data standardization, reduces manual data entry, and minimizes errors across all captured documents.
