Getting Started

This page covers everything you need to know before you start working in DocView Web. By the end of this guide you will understand the technical requirements, how to access the application, and what the main areas of the interface look like.

Browser Requirements

DocView Web is a modern web application that runs entirely in your browser. Make sure you are using one of the following supported browsers for the best experience:

  • Google Chrome – version 90 or later
  • Microsoft Edge – version 90 or later (Chromium-based)
  • Mozilla Firefox – version 88 or later
  • Apple Safari – version 14 or later

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser settings. If your organisation uses a corporate proxy or firewall, ask your IT department to whitelist the DocView Web URL so that all page assets and API calls load correctly.

Accessing the Application

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the DocView Web URL provided by your administrator (for example https://docview.yourcompany.com).
  2. You will see the Login page. Enter your email address and password, then click Sign In.
  3. If your organisation uses Single Sign-On (SSO) via Azure Active Directory, click the SSO button instead of entering credentials manually.

First-Time Users

Your administrator will create your account and send you an email with temporary credentials. On your first login you will be asked to change your password. Make sure the new password meets the complexity rules set by your administrator (typically at least eight characters including one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character).

Interface Overview

After logging in you will see the Dashboard. The main interface is divided into four areas:
