Tasks
The Tasks page provides a unified view of all actionable items assigned to you across the entire DocView Web platform. This includes workflow tasks, PO approval requests, expense claim reviews, supplier approvals, and any other items that require your attention.
Viewing Your Tasks
Click Tasks in the left sidebar to open the task panel. Tasks are displayed in a list with the following details:
- Task title – A description of what needs to be done.
- Source module – Which module generated the task (Workflow, PO, Expense, Supplier, etc.).
- Related document or record – A link to the item that needs your action.
- Date assigned – When the task was created.
- Priority – The urgency level of the task.
Acting on Tasks
Click any task to navigate directly to the relevant page (document record, PO detail, expense claim, etc.) where you can take the required action. Once you complete the action, the task is automatically removed from your list.
Refreshing the Task List
Click the Refresh button at the top of the task panel to reload the list with the latest tasks. This is useful if you are expecting a new task that was just assigned to you.
Task Panel on the Dashboard
The Dashboard also includes a task summary panel showing your pending tasks. This gives you a quick overview without navigating to the dedicated Tasks page. Click any task in the Dashboard panel to open it directly.

The number of pending tasks is shown as a badge on the task icon in the navigation bar, so you can see at a glance how many items await your attention.
