Document Viewer
The Document Viewer is DocView Web’s built-in reader for viewing documents and images without downloading them. It is embedded within the Document Record page and supports PDFs, images, and converted Office documents.
PDF Viewer
PDF files are rendered using an integrated PDF.js viewer. The toolbar provides:
- Page navigation – Previous / Next buttons and a page-number input to jump to any page.
- Zoom – Zoom in, zoom out, fit-to-width, and fit-to-page options.
- Rotation – Rotate the document 90° clockwise or counter-clockwise.
- Text selection – Highlight and copy text directly from the rendered PDF.
- Download – Download the original PDF file to your local machine.
- Print – Send the document to your system printer.
Image Viewer
Image files (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, WEBP) are displayed at full resolution with zoom and pan controls. Multi-page TIFF files show page navigation similar to PDFs.
Office Documents
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files are automatically converted to PDF format for inline viewing. The original file remains available for download in its native format via the Download button.
Translated Documents
If document translation is enabled, you can view translated versions of a document directly in the viewer by selecting the target language from a dropdown. This is useful for multi-lingual organisations that need to review content in different languages.
Document Revisions
When a document has multiple versions (variants), you can switch between them in the viewer using the revision selector. This lets you compare the current version with any previous version side by side.
TIP
Use keyboard shortcuts + and - to zoom in and out quickly in the PDF viewer.
