Themes & Personalisation
DocView Web ships with three visual themes so you can choose the look that suits your working environment. Your choice is saved as a browser cookie and persists across sessions on the same device.
Available Themes
| Theme | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Dark | Dark-grey backgrounds with light text and muted accent colours. | Low-light environments and reducing eye strain during long sessions. |
| Blue | Professional blue-accented interface with white content areas. | Standard office use and corporate environments. |
| Light | Clean white backgrounds with dark text and subtle grey borders. | Well-lit offices and users who prefer high-contrast reading. |
Switching Themes
- Open User Profile, then select Manage Themes to change your theme.
- Select Dark, Blue, or Light from the dropdown.
- The interface updates instantly – no page reload is required.
Your preference is stored as the UserTheme cookie. If you clear your browser cookies, the theme reverts to the default (Light).
What the Theme Affects
The selected theme is applied consistently across every area of the application:
- Navigation bar, sidebar, and footer backgrounds and text colours.
- Dashboard summary cards, charts, and chart backgrounds.
- Data tables, form fields, buttons, and modal dialogs.
- The document viewer toolbar, PDF viewer background, and annotation controls.
- Login page, user-profile page, and all administration screens.
Language Selection
In addition to visual themes, DocView Web supports multiple interface languages. Open User Profile, then select Update Language to switch between English, German, Spanish, Dutch, Croatian, and other configured languages. The interface labels, buttons, and messages update immediately after selection.
INFO
Theme and language preferences are per-browser. If you use DocView Web on a different computer or browser, you will need to set your preferences again.
